Greyhound Racing Tips - Thursday September 1st

Sandown Park: Race 1

(5) Cheeky Wink was an all the way winner in the heats of this race here last week and if she can step like that again she should prove hard to hold out. On that occasion she had box eight and a time of 30.05 saw her out to win by a nose. Box 5 will be a bit trickier but I'm counting on her leading again, but she may have to run a couple of lengths quicker this time. One of her key rivals would have been the dog in box six but it has been scratched which helps her chances.

(5) Cheeky Wink Win

$2.90 (2 Units)

Hobart: Race 4

(5) Dawny Dream has been racing in ultra-consistent fashion of late and does go well from any box. He continues to run around the 26.20 mark over the 461m and that will just about win this race. He has had one start from box five and that resulted in a win at this track & distance in a time of 26.26 with him leading all of the way on that occasion. He is reliable early and should settle in the top three after the first split in a race that is not as hard as her previous one.

(5) Dawny Dream Win

$1.30 (5 Units)

Albion Park: Race 2

(2) Celebrity Aisha has missed the kick a little her past two but im going on her two excellent wins in July where she settled second before rounding up the leader down the home straight. She had boxes four and five on those occasions and might find it a little easier in the two so she could lead or settle just behind the leader. There are a few talented young greyhounds in this race so we don't want to be taking anything too short.

(2) Celebrity Aisha Win

$3.30 (2 Units)

Angle Park: Race 11

(2) Hector Fawley comes over from Victoria and despite only having the five starts has already shown enough to win this race. He is going for three in a row after winning in 29.33 at Sandown Park on both of those occasions. Box two shouldn't worry him at all as he can rail and with his latest victory being by over four lengths, he is going to attract a lot of support from punters all around Australia. Trainer Lisa Cockerell is bringing her team over across the border and this one looks like her best of the night. The young dog has been winning by comfortable margins and he should be winning again.

(2) Hector Fawley Win

$1.40 (5 Units)

Dapto: Race 6

(3) Lady Stomp has raced in harder races than this and if she leads again like she did here last week they will have to try and catch her down which could be on a wet surface which will make it harder. Her last win on August 6 at Wentworth Park was excellent where on that occasion she copped a checked, went back to midfield before running over the top of them. Being back at Dapto for her second time might see her improve a couple of lengths too as a lot of greyhounds tend to do.

(3) Lady Stomp EW

$3.60/$1.55 (2 Units)

Mandurah: Race 1

(8) Tiger Mickey can be very fast out of the boxes and being out in box eight just might suit here. He is not strong so will have to leads this to win but i am counting on the box helping out if anything and hoping that he can pinch a two or three length break on them. Box 6 is the danger after running one length quicker than our selection last week but in a maiden sprint race that is a hard box to win from.

(8) Tiger Mickey Win

$3.60 (2 Units)
