Greyhound Racing Tips - Thursday October 6th
Sandown Park: Race 2
(8) Piscopo Bale is a very consistent bitch and being drawn out in the pink might suit her. She usually settles around third after the first split but then puts the pedal to the metal and gets going mid-race. As long as she doesn’t get bumped around the first turn she should get right into the race down the back. Last week here she got done by a nostril from box seven so the wide draw shouldn't worry her. Before that it was a 30.28 win at The Meadows. She's in fine form!
(8) Piscopo Bale WIN
$4.20 (2 Units)
Dapto: Race 3
(8) Ninja Mac has the pink for the third time in four starts and he does go well from wide draws. After running a second and third previously, his win here last time was good when he took control 100m after the start, winning by five lengths. Now that he has broken his maiden, he is obviously slightly up in class, but he seems to be improving quickly and I think he can win again if he runs close to his three previous efforts of 17.15, 17.18 and 17.21. Look for him to settle second early but look to take control the second half of the journey.
(8) Ninja Mac WIN
$2.40 (2 Units)
Albion Park: Race 1
(3) Deemed a Liar looks pretty smart after getting backed into $1.40 at Ipswich on debut before winning very well. From a tricky draw of five he led all the way and could do so at Albion Park tonight. Trainer Tony Zammitt would have given him a look at the track previously so he should be no stranger to the place. Atomic Bill (1) for Cyndie Elson and City Way (7) for Tony Apap have been racing consistently but look more like honest chasers then potential city class free for all dogs.
(3) Deemed a Liar
$5.50 (1 Unit)
Hobart: Race 3
(7) Fossil Bluff for Blake Pursell has been racing well and should be right in this finish here. He has raced a Launceston his last three which have included two victories but his last run at Hobart was a winning one as well. On that occasion he had the yellow box, jumped well and led all of the way. He is reliable early and can make it four wins from six starts on Thursday night. Limitation for Debbie Cannon is quick and is the main danger.
(7) Fossil Bluff WIN
$1.70 (3 Units)
Geelong: Race 5
With Angle Park not racing on Thursday night and opting for a Friday night timeslot with its Adelaide Cup, i have included Geelong greyhounds.
(4) Dewana Fernando for Brendan Dewan is dropping a little in class here and should be hard to beat. He comes into this off a good effort when sixth at Sandown Park in a Special Event last time. On September 18 he won at the same track in a good 29.57 so on times he is very talented. He usually comes out midfield but has a very good middle section down the back.
(4) Dewana Fernando WIN
$2.05 (3 Units)
Mandurah: Race 7
(1) Nice Image loves the red and proved that three starts back when he won here in 22.74. He is a winner of 21 of 82 so has a pretty good strike rate and has won five races from 12 starts from the inside alley whereas from the widest two boxes he has only won two from 22. He has won over $50,000 in prizemoney and any more than even money should be attractive to punters.
(1) Nice Image WIN
$2.05 (2 Units)
