Greyhound Racing Tips - Thursday October 13th
Sandown Park: Race 1
(1) Cindy’s Boy looks like he can lead all of the way in the first for trainer Tony Tufo. He is a big boy (38kg) and box one should prove to be vital, and he is a big chance to break the 29.50 second barrier again (weather permitting) after leading all of the way from the same box at Geelong two starts ago and from box six at this track & distance last week. He was only one length outside of the best of the night and remaining in Grade 6 company, the son of Barcia Bale x Smokin’ Cindy should be winning this.
(1) Cindy’s Boy WIN .
$1.40 (4 Units)
Dapto: Race 7
(7) Punter’s Bandit for trainer Anthony Lord will be very hard to beat in this 600m event if he stays out of trouble on the first bend. He jumped well and led all of the way from this box at Wentworth Park last start over 525m but previously was only jumping away moderately. The Dapto 600m start can be tricky but if he gains clear running it should be almost race over if he's in the top two as they passed the winning post the first time around. It was a best of the night effort at Wenty last week and anything close to even money should be okay.
(7) Punter’s Bandit WIN
$1.80 (3 Units)
Angle Park Race 4
(8) Elegant Bix has finished in the top three in his last five starts. From box 8 on August 28, he handled the wide draw quite well when 2nd in 30.85 at this track & distance. If he stays out of trouble on the first turn, he could nearly better that time here tonight and he does run a strong 530m now so he will be strong to the line. He has run 5.33 to the first peg here before and will need to again otherwise he might get posted wide or checked on the first turn. Agent Nine Nine (box seven) is the danger.
(8) Elegant Bix WIN
$2.30 (2 Units)
Albion Park: Race 5
(4) Fearghal Monelli has won eight from 25 and over $50,000 in prizemoney now and is a pretty classy greyhound. He has won twice and placed three times from his five attempts from the blue box so the awkward draw shouldn't worry him. He was less than half a length from best of the day honours at Albion Park when winning last time out (30.16) and a repeat of that performance should see him go very close. He is fairly reliable early and should settle in the top two. Springtime Son (7) is the danger.
(4) Fearghal Monelli WIN
$3.20 (2 Units)
Hobart: Race 9
(1) Nail em Fencer is pretty classy in this state and has won 18 from 34 now. Box one will only shorten his odds further, but he should be winning. He has drawn poorly his last couple (six and seven) and hasn't drawn the red in six starts but that did matter with him winning them all. He has won three times from five starts from box one and has never missed a placing. He is very quick early and despite being very short he should win. Rip Away in box two is pretty good early but his early speed is still 1.5L off Nail em Fencer to the first marker.
(1) Nail em Fencer
$2.10 (3 Units)
Mandurah: Race 1
(7) Tiger Mickey is a greyhound I have picked twice in the last six weeks to break his maiden and he still hasn't. Despite this fact I will stick with him for one more try after a gallant third here last week when beaten less than a length from box five. He is still starting around second or third, but he is punching through better now and from box seven he may appreciate trying to go around them. It's his first try from box seven but has placed in both starts from the pink so it shouldn't worry him.
(7) Tiger Mickey WIN
$2.60 (2 Units)
