There is plenty of esports action this Friday night and into Saturday morning. We have you covered with some best bets for the night from the CS:GO and DOTA2 titles.
Esports Betting Tips: Friday, April 24th
B8 vs Team Spirit
DOTA2 WePlay! Pushka League Season 1: Division 1
B8 have yet to find their place in the competitive Dota2 scene and although this squad is slowly improving, B8 are still far away from being regarded as one of the best teams in the CIS region, let alone in the world. Most recently, B8 participated at ESL One Los Angeles 2020 - Online: Europe & CIS, where they won only one match against HellRaisers (2-1), while their only other half-decent results came when B8 took VIrtus.pro and OG to three-map series (1-2). It seems like B8 can only perform well when their captain Dendi has a good day. This effectively makes B8 a very unpredictable team, or in other words, a team that you don't expect much from, but you don't really feel comfortable predicting they will get swept by any team.
I have that exact concern for this match, as Team Spirit are far from a team I see as a solid contender. While they did impress with their run through ESL One Los Angeles 2020 - Online: Europe & CIS, their whole run seem like a complete fluke. They should still come out ahead here, but it won't be a clean sweep, so expect a three-map series with Spirit taking home the spoils.
Team Liquid vs Ninjas in Pyjamas
DOTA2 WePlay! Pushka League Season 1: Division 1
Ninjas in Pyjamas recently disbanded their Dota2 team and signed ex-Chicken Fighters roster, which is arguably an upgrade for the Swedish esports organisation, who will fancy their chances against the struggling Team Liquid. Looking back, I did not trust Team Liquid to perform up to par at ESL One Los Angeles 2020 - Online: Europe & CIS, and they didn't. Looking ahead, I don't believe that will change. The fact of the matter is that Chicken Fighters already defeated Liquid just over a week ago and there is no reason to believe they can't do it again. With all due respect, Liquid are in a bad spot now and until they start showing something more, any bet against them is a solid bet.
Copenhagen Flames vs c0ntact
CS:GO ESL One: Road to Rio – Europe
Copenhagen Flames have recently parted ways with one of their best players René "TeSeS" Madsen, who left for Heroic and was later replaced by a young prospect Jonas 'Queenix' Dideriksen. Since his arrival, Queenix's performances were not exactly stellar, but it would not be fair to criticise him too much for it, as he will need some more time to adapt to the new environment and new teammates. C0ntact, on the other side are struggling with their form, seeing how they are entering this match with only two wins from their last six matches. All of their matches were played online, at FLASHPOINT League, where c0ntact fielded their coach as a stand-in player. Their only two wins came against Copenhagen Flames and FunPlus Phoenix, while they lost against MAD Lions (twice), FunPlus Phoenix and HAVU.
Seeing how both sides have been struggling to find their footing in recent weeks, it's safe to assume CPH and c0ntact will be eager to get back on the horse with a win this Friday and based on their iffy performances, both sides will fancy their chances to do so. Although this match seems like it can go either way, I am not too keen on the fact that c0ntact are still playing with their coach, who has left a lot to be desired with his showings and will hinder c0ntact's chances to claim the spoils. In all fairness, the odds should be the other way around here, but that only makes it easier for us to find ourselves an excellent betting opportunity. Value bet on CPH Flames
