Another big day in the esports world this Saturday, the 4th of April with some great matchups taking place across the CS:GO and DOTA 2 platforms! We take a look at some of the key games of the day and give our betting tips below.
Esports Betting Tips: CSGO and Dota2 – Saturday, 4th April
Cloud9 vs Envy
CS:GO FLASHPOINT
Seeing Envy priced at 2.50, despite the fact that they already defeated Cloud9 (2-1) a couple of days ago makes completely no sense. Some may argue Cloud9 are a stronger team, but in reality, these two rosters look fairly equal in terms of raw quality and we would even go on to say that Envy with Noah "Nifty" Francis, Buğra "Calyx" Arkın and Michał "MICHU" Müller have a much higher ceiling compared to their North American adversaries. What's more, Envy players are far more experienced, which is just another reason why they should not be priced at 2.50.
Although Cloud9 produced a slightly stronger record throughout the tournament, they did not defeat any noteworthy team, while Envy had to compete with MiBR, Gen.G and HAVU, who are not particularly weak teams. There is no reason to believe Envy can't repeat their success from last week and win here, and at the provided odds, this is a bet you simply can't ignore.
FunPlus Phoenix vs c0ntact
CS:GO FLASHPOINT
FunPlus Phoenix and c0ntact Gaming already met a couple of days ago in a close contest, when we saw the ex-CR4ZY roster come out ahead by producing a reverse sweep with 16-14 on Inferno and 16-12 on Dust2. They did, however, get completely stomped on Train, where FunPlus Phoenix won 16-9.
Because c0ntact Gaming already defeated FPX, they are entering this bout as favourites, which is fair, but having them priced as low as 1.61 seems a bit far-fetched, especially since they are playing with their coach Luka "emi" Vuković as a stand-in. While we can't deny c0ntact have a chance to repeat their success and defeat FunPlus Phoenix once more, this seems like a 50/50 bout, so we can say the same for the ex-Bad News Bears roster, who presents us with a great value bet at 2.23. Side with the underdogs and take advantage of the inflated odds!

Virtus.pro vs HellRaisers
ESL One Los Angeles Dota2 Online: Europe & CIS
Two of the strongest CIS Dota2 teams, Virtus.pro and HellRaisers are set to lock horns on day one of ESL One Los Angeles Dota2 Online: Europe & CIS in what is billed as a one-sided affair, where Alexei "Solo" Berezin and company should come out ahead. But just like with any esports match, there is more to this bout than meets the eye. HellRaisers and Virtus.pro met five times since February 2020, with HellRaisers coming out ahead three times. That being said, Virtus.pro won (2-0) their last meeting that took place last week. We, however, would not put too much emphasis on that bout, as it was clear HellRaisers had an off day, meaning we can expect much better performance from Vladimir "RodjER" Nikogosyan and his crew here.
Expecting an upset win might seem like a longshot bet, however, we have to consider these two rosters know each other very well, meaning most of their fixtures are 50/50 and with 2.85 offered on HellRaisers, we don't have to think twice before siding with the underdogs.
