Betfair Australia has announced that, for the first time, they will offer markets on the Betfair Exchange for every race in Hong Kong.
Starting on September 1st, which is the first meeting of the new season, punters will be able to place back and lay bets on the exchange for Sha Tin and Happy Valley meetings.
In a video announcement released by the company, CEO Tim Moore-Barton said he was incredibly excited to announce the new product.
"Our punters have been asking for Hong Kong racing for several years and we've been working on it for just as long," he said.
"Today, I'm really excited to allow punters to legally bet against each other on some of the best horse racing in the world."
Punters will be able to back, lay, trade, bet in-play or take the Betfair SP, allowing punters to maximise their return through what is one of the premier products in Australasian betting.
The commission rate for Hong Kong racing will 6%, which is in line with Betfair's cheapest Australian racing product, giving punters access to the most competitive fixed odds in Australia.
