2/3 in NBA betting tips on Saturday to cap off another profitable week in the association. There's just a few weeks of the NBA regular season left and teams are still fighting for playoff seedings, particularly in the Eastern Conference. We break down some of the key games this Tuesday, the 19th of March and give our tips below.
NBA Betting Tips Tuesday 19th March
Denver Nuggets at Boston Celtics (10.30am AEDT)
The Celtics have bounced back from a shaky stretch after the All-Star break. They have won their last two games and six of their last 10 including big wins over the Rockets and Warriors. They'll be at home for Tuesday's clash, where they have won of the best records against the spread in the NBA at 20-16.
On the contrary, the Nuggets have been one of the worst teams in the NBA against the spread, away from home. They have just a 13-19 record in that category and have failed to cover the spread in three of their last four games even though they have won stright up in three of them.
The Celtics start as 3.5 point favourites here, which we think is about right given they are at home. They currently sit just one game behind the PAcers for the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference so they'll be desperate to pinch home court advantage in that matchup in the run home. Back the Celtics to cover at home.
Golden State Warriors at San Antonio Spurs (11am AEDT)
The Spurs have won their last eight games in a row to skyrocket from eighth in the Western Conference to sixth. They have the second best home record in the NBA at 28-7 and have covered the spread in seven of their last eight games. They'll be at home again on Tuesday as they host the Golden State Warriors, who are stumbling through the final few weeks of the NBA season.
The Warriors have won just five of their last 10 games and hold onto the top spot in the Eastern Conference by just one game over the Denver Nuggets. There still seem to be some locker room issues in Golden State between a bunch of conflicting personalities in Draymond Green, DeMarcus Cousins and Kevin Durant.
The Warriors have failed to cover the spread in 13 of their last 18 games and while they have won big road games against the Rockets and Thunder over their last two, the tough road trip continues Tuesday against the Spurs followed by a game at Minnesota. We love the Spurs as home underdogs and are happy to side with them here.
Indiana Pacers at Portland Trail Blazers (1.30pm AEDT)
The Pacers and Blazers both currently sit fourth in their respective conferences and will both be looking to bounce back from road losses on Sunday. The Pacers continue their Western Conference road trip Tuesday which finishes off with games against the Clippers on Wednesday and the Warriors on Friday. With the Celtics in hot pursuit, they'll be desperate to win at least one or two games from the road trip, which is a tough ask.
The Blazers have an easier run over the final few weeks of the regular season. In their last 12 games, they'll have the advantage of playing the Mavericks, Bulls, Hawks, Grizzlies, Lakers and Kings, which should be at least five guaranteed wins.
The Blazers start as 3.5 point favourites here and we think that line is great value given they are one of the best home teams against the spread in the NBA at 21-13. To add to that, the Pacers have struggled against the spread on the road at just 14-19-1.
