Esports Betting Tips: Tuesday November 29th

Esports Betting Tips

Michael Lee is back with his insight and betting predictions for three CCT North Europe Series #2 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive matches. Today, he looks at HAVU vs Anonymo Esports, forZe vs MASONIC, and 9INE vs Into the Breach, who will meet in the third round of the group stage.

Esports Betting Tips: Tuesday, November 29th

HAVU vs Anonymo Esports

CCT North Europe Series #2

HAVU kicked off their quest for the CCT North Europe Series #2 title with a convincing 2-0 sweep of AGO on Thursday but were not as effective on Sunday when they lost against 9INE, who bested them 8-16 on Overpass and 16-9 on Dust II. Anonymo Esports had a reversed experience so far; they lost their tournament opener against forZe (1-2) and bounced back with a 2-0 sweep of Teal Falcons.

This will be HAVU’s first game against Anoynmo since March 2021, when they won 2-0, but I don’t see how that result is relevant since well over a year has passed since. Still, HAVU the bookmakers seem to agree that HAVU will likely win this one as well.

It’s not crazy to believe that HAVU can win, but I haven’t seen enough from them to be convinced. HAVU have won just two of their last nine matches, and even those came against AGO and ENCE AC. Meanwhile, they lost badly against the likes of Sprout (8-16) and HEET (11-16).

Anonymo Esports are 5-2 from their last seven games, which may seem better than it is, considering that run includes wins against much weaker teams in LODIS, SKADE X, and 180mg, but they’re winning games which count for something.

HAVU might look slightly better on paper, but not good enough for me to bet on them at 1.66. This is a 50/50 match, so Anonymo Esports look a far more appealing choice at 2.10.

ForZe vs MASONIC

CCT North Europe Series #2

MASONIC are heavy underdogs (2.62) for their second meeting with forZe of the year, which sounds right. MASONIC are 4-4 since the start of European Development Championship Season 6, with defeats against SINNERS (8-16), B8 (0-2), Tricked Esports (9-16), and Endpoint (0-2). Meanwhile, their only wins came against st0ny (16-3), Sashi Esports (16-5), Alpha Gaming (16-7), and Tricked in a rematch (2-0).

ForZe are 5-2 over the same stretch of games, with defeats against K23 (0-2) and Into the Breach (0-2), while their wins came against BakS (2-0), 9P (2-1), Anonymo Esports (2-1), and K23 in a rematch (2-0).

Purely talent-wise, forZe are stronger, but their latest results don’t inspire much confidence. They lost against ITB, who are not that much stronger than MASONIC, and they even struggled against 9P, which is concerning. And if forZe don’t find a way to improve here, they’ll likely struggle against MASONIC as well.

This is a match between a fairly strong team that is completely out of shape and MASONIC who are nothing special but tend to win games they should. So even though forZe should win, their form leaves me worried whether they’ll manage to live up to the expectations. This could be a very close affair, so I’ll gladly take over 2.5 maps at 1.90.

9INE vs Into the Breach

CCT North Europe Series #2

9INE might be a very inconsistent team, but they have started showing some life of late, winning three straight games against Team Falcons (2-0), 777 Esports (2-1), and HAVU (2-0). I wouldn’t view those wins as anything major, but 9INE are at least winning games after a 1-4 run since the turn of the month.

Into the Breach are in a very similar situation. They were 2-5 before two weeks ago and then went on a five-game winning streak, which saw them beat Legates (16-10), eMasters (16-10), AF (16-5), Illuminar Gaming (2-0), and forZe (2-0). The first three wins were nothing special, but seeing ITB defeat Illuminar and forZe suggest that they’ve fixed their mistakes.

Betting sites expect 9INE (1.40) to win, which makes sense since they’ve had higher heights than Into the Breach this season, but I don’t see a good reason why they would be priced at such low odds. Beating HAVU, 777, and Falcons is not bad, but Into the Breach have been achieving similar results over the last week, so the teams are fairly even form-wise.

This is one of the game where you have to side with the outsiders. Into the Breach are by no means a good team, but neither are 9INE. It will all come down to which squad will step up on the day.
