After a week off the UFC returns with an enthralling main event. Rob Font and Jose Aldo will headline the card out of the UFC Apex Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, with the card also featuring exciting match ups such as Brad Riddell vs. Rafael Fiziev and Jimmy Crute vs. Jamahal Hill. We take a look at my best three bets on the crd below.
UFC Fight Night Betting Tips
Rob Font vs Jose Aldo
Rob Font has quietly and impressively been going about his work in the UFC Bantamweight division as he enters the main event on a four-fight winning streak and an impressive 9-3 in the UFC. His opponent Jose Aldo may still believe he can return to the top but I just think he can.
While Aldo has always had some underrated grappling and Font does have a couple of submissions on his record, both men prefer to trade on the feet and that is where this fight will take place. So with that considered the big question for Aldo is how does he manage to negate the height and reach advantage Font has. If Aldo can throw his leg kicks like he did early in his career, that could change this fight but I am convinced there is something going on with his ankles hence why he has stopped throwing them very often. Font therefore will be able to outpoint Aldo on the feet and land the more telling blows, likely pulling away in the fourth and fifth for a rather comfortable victory in the end.
Value: By Decision ($3.40)
Brad Riddell vs Rafael Fiziev
What Brad Riddell does extremely well is the fundamentals and it is those fundamentals that has seen him rack up an impressive 10-1 professional record. For mine he has risen through the UFC ranks with an almost uncanny resemblance to champion Alexander Volkanovski. Riddell has smooth footwork and darts in and out with his punches and mixes in his wrestling well.
His opponent Rafael Fiziev is a lot more flashy than Riddell but I am not convinced he has the fundamentals required to be a serious contender in the division. Essentially I believe this comes down to can Riddell avoid a massive Fiziev shot in the opening round. If yes, I see him winning this fight by decision. Considering his impressive footwork and ability to roll with the punches as he showed against Dober, I am backing him to do just that and secure another UFC win here.

Claudio Puelles vs Chris Gruetzemacher
The Ultimate Fighter veteran Chris Gruetzemacher returned back to the winners list last time out in an upset win over Rafa Garcia. His opponent Claudio Puelles has won his last three bouts but will need to get this to the ground to have a chance to secure the win here. Gruetzemacher, however, has the wrestling to make sure that doesn’t happen. I expect Gruetzemacher to have his way on the feet and be able to repel the takedown attempts of Puelles and secure a one-sided victory.
