Esports Betting Tips: Tuesday, June 24th

June 24th 2020, 11:09am, By: Michael Lee

We're back with more exciting esports betting coverage for Wednesday, June 24th. Today, we're heading to the LOOT.BET Season 7 before taking a look at the finals of ESL Australia & NZ Championship Season 11 Oceania.

Esports Betting Tips: Tuesday, June 24th

HAVU vs HONORIS

LOOT.BET Season 7

HAVU will enter this match in lukewarm form, as they have won only three out of the last five matches. They managed to defeat Wisla Krakow, North and hREDS, but fell flat against BIG and Spirit, who bested them 2-0. These results make me believe that HAVU have no problems defeating weaker teams, while they tend to struggle against even slightly stronger squads. And their BLAST Rising 2020 title, as well as deep run into FLASHPOINT only further proves that since neither competition featured any top-tier teams.

Their next opponents, HONORIS, are entering this match with only two wins from their last five matches. They defeated Copenhagen Flames and Japaleno but lost to ALTERNATE aTTaX, Complexity and Illuminar. HONORIS is a new team, led by two Polish CS veterans NEO and TaZ who are accompanied by some lesser-known players and so far their project doesn't look too promising. Since the team's inception, the Poles have won only 30% of their matches, albeit they have played only 13 games, some of which saw them face stronger sides such as Complexity, c0ntact and Endpoint.

As mentioned, HAVU have no issues defeating weaker teams and HONORIS are exactly that, so in my book, anything less than a clean win for HAVU will be a major disappointment. Apart from their win against Complexity in a BO1 match, HONORIS have looked horrendous and with all due respect, this team doesn't have a bright future ahead of them. Bet on HAVU to demolish HONORIS 2-0!

Paradox vs Bantz

ESL Australia & NZ Championship Season 11

Paradox are coming into the match with a 4-1 record from their last five played. Paradox lost only against a much stronger Chiefs, while they had no issues defeating teams of similar or lower quality such as really weird, Ground Zero, PC419 and Incept. Bantz, on the other hand, have won three out of their last five against really weird, Mako and Downfall, but lost against AVANT and Skyfire.

From the looks of it, there is not a lot to set these two teams apart in terms of firepower and individual skill. Bantz have already beaten Paradox about a month ago (16-10 on Mirage) in the ESEA MDL Season 34 Australia, so it seems like Paradox are priced as favourites only due to the name value.

Since both teams have shown similar results lately, we are likely in for a close match which can easily go into the third map. Considering this is an important fixture, both teams will do their best and not give up on the back of a couple lost rounds. The best prediction I can give for this match is over 2.5 maps, but I would not advise against placing a couple of quids on Bantz as well!

Spirit vs Nemiga

WePlay! Clutch Island

Spirit are on a four-game winning streak, which they earned by defeating Espada, forZe, Virtus.pro and HAVU, who are all stronger teams compared to Nemiga, so I have no issues seeing Spirit priced as the favourites heading into this match. Nemiga, on the other side, looked fairly solid throughout the last three months, considering they have produced a high 71% win rate, but I have to mention they did not defeat any notable teams. Instead, Nemiga played against PACT, Sprout, GameLegion, Unicorns of Love and other CS:GO squads of similar quality, and still lost a couple of matches.

The last time Nemiga and Spirit met was about two months ago at the ESL One: Road to Rio – CIS, where Nemiga managed to take the series lead with 16-9 on Inferno, but to no avail, as they lost 12-16 on Dust2 and 4-16 on Nuke. Spirit's star player Nikolay 'mir' Bityukov was the main man to watch that day with 72 frags and 1.57 HLTV rating across the series. On Nemiga, it was Aleksandr "mds" Rubets who managed to perform at least decently well with 48 frags and 0.97 HLTV rating.

I would not say Nemiga are a bad team per se, but I highly doubt they will manage to offer any meaningful resistance against the hot Spirit. Their win against Winstrike yesterday was quite impressive and if we can see the same contribution from Anton "speed4k" Titov and Igor "lollipop21k" Solodkov Nemiga might stand a chance to take one map, but considering Spirit field much better players, namely mir and Artem "iDISBALANCE" Egorov, Spirit should come out on top. Bet on Spirit to win!
