Dota2 Oceanic Esports League Playoffs Tips - Wednesday, 3rd June
Flashpoint Gaming vs Sweaty Soldiers
Wednesday 6pm AEST
Flashpoint Gaming looked like the main favourites to win the Oceanic Esports League, however things took a turn for the worse in Week 7, when Flashpoint lost to Benny Brian, SADBOYS.AU and came away from their match against Spag and Sons with a disappointing draw. Flashpoint's struggles continued into the playoffs, where they suffered a devastating 0-2 defeat against Adió Chula on Tuesday, which puts them in an unenviable position, where their only chance to make it to the finals means Flashpoint have to fight their way through the lower bracket.
Sweaty Soldiers failed to impress throughout the group stage, however, their slightly disappointing 5-9-4 record proved to be more than enough for them to enter the playoffs. Sweaty Soldiers are undoubtedly the dark horse in this race, however, they are not a team you would write off entirely. Consistency is by no means their strongest suit, however Sweaty Soldiers are a team full of surprises and their win over Flashpoint Gaming during Week 6 only further proves this team is ready to make some noise.
I'm not expecting Sweaty Soldiers to completely stomp their opponents, but since Flashpoint clearly lost their rhythm as of late, siding with the underdogs to produce an upset win is not a terrible bet. An over 2.5 map bet can also be considered.

SADBOYS.AU vs Burger Flippers
Wednesday 9pm AEST
SADBOYS.AU are entering this bout after suffering a humiliating reverse-sweep against Sincerely Fury on Tuesday, however their goals of making it to the playoffs of Oceanic Esports League are far from over. Having said that, SADBOYS.AU will be entering this match with a lot on their mind, since they failed to defeat Burger Flippers throughout the tournament. The first meeting between Burger Flippers and SADBOYS.AU ended with Burger Flippers coming away with a comfortable 2-0 win, while the rematch, that took place on May 19, ended in a 1-1 stalemate.
This match will likely come down to the performance of SADBOYS.AU's mid laner LoseYourself, who has proven his talent in the latter stages of the group stage, where SADBOYS.AU looked nearly unstoppable.
Nevertheless, Burger Flippers are not exactly a team anyone should underestimate. Their weak start to the tournament might fool you, but this team is filled with big names, who all have the needed experience to deliver when it matters. Burger Flippers’ ace in the hole is Atletico Esports’ mid laner XemistrY, who should be more than capable of dealing with LoseYourself and make SADBOYS.AU sweat. Expect a close match and all three maps played.
