It's a solid day of metropolitan horse racing this afternoon and we've provided our best bets for Randwick Kensington and Sandown below!
Horse Racing Tips: Wednesday, September 4th
Sandown Race 6 (Market)
(2) Lake's Folly looks the one to beat here, resuming from a 10-week spell following a dominant 4.5L victory at Wangaratta on debut. He carries 60kg today but they've elected to go with senior rider Mark Zahra and from barrier 5 he should prove too good. (10) La Falaise was luckless in the G3 Quezette Stakes first up and this is a steep drop in class back to the midweeks. She showed plenty of talent in her debut preparation, which resulted in victory in the Elvstroem Classic at Swan Hill. Drawn well and looks the logical danger to the favourite. (6) Soul Patch and (8) Eclair Breeze are two at big odds worth including in your numbers.
Sandown Race 7 (Market)
Looks a race between (1) Rox The Castle and (12) Jumbo Ozaki. I've gone the way of Rox The Castle, who returned to form with a 2nd placing to Age Of Chivalry at Caulfield last start. Age Of Chivalry then came out and won again at Caulfield on the weekend, so that looks good form for a drop back to the midweeks. Draws barrier 1, will be right up on speed and goes well at 1400m. He'll be there for a long way. Jumbo Ozaki was beaten as favourite down the straight on Heavy ground at Flemington first up. I think he'll be much better suited up in distance to 1400m, back on firm ground and back around a bend. No surprise to see him bounce back and win this, especially with a 4kg swing on Rox The Castle. Include (10) Angelucci in your numbers at $26. He always needs his first up run but he improves significantly second up and he gets the blinkers back on today. He's the clear value.

Sandown Race 8 (Market)
Two I'm keen to back in the final race of the day at Sandown. (6) Deep Euphoria is flying this preparation and the only times he's failed he's either had no luck at all or not run out the trip. Every time he's run over a sprint trip he's run well. He was held up from the 300m-100m mark last start and he finished in the top two at both starts over this track and distance prior to that. Might need a bit of luck again from barrier 2 but if he gets it, he'll be in the finish. (8) Fine Dane is undefeated first up. Both his wins have been fresh and both have been at this distance. He'll go forward from the gate and give a bold sight. With $5.50 and $4.60 available respectively, I'm happy to back both.

Kensington Race 6 (Market)
Happy to stick with (2) Rock after he saluted for us first up in dominant style. He settled back in the field and although he had everything go his way, he put the field away in a matter of strides. I think he's got a bit of talent and he looks set to go on to better races than this. He won second up last preparation and although he carries 60.5kg, I think he'll prove tough to beat once again. (1) Final Award carries top weight but I suspect he will be the main danger.
Kensington Race 7 (Market)
(11) Subpoenaed went down as the $1.50 favourite first up, which was her first start in Australia after an impressive debut in New Zealand. She really got going late in the race and was only beaten a nose on the line, so the extra 100m of today's race looks suitable. She draws wide here so she's obviosuly going to go back in the field, which is a bit risky on the Kenso track, but she might just have a good enough engine to win anyway. I suspect that's the reason behind her betting drift ($1.90-$2.25). (7) Lakia resumed with the blinkers on and led all the way to land some good bets. Expect her to lead here and be the one that Subpoenaed has to run down.
