Juventus vs Tottenham (Tuesday 8pm AEST)
Juventus will enter this match on the back of a loss, as they weren’t able to hold on against Melbourne Victory. Carlos Blanco Moreno scored an absolute screamer from inside the centre circle at the halfway line but the Victory were able to level the scores just before full-time and they were able to show cooler heads in the penalty shoot out. The Italians are of course playing without their star midfielder Paul Pogba as his future is still up in the air. They missed his dominant presence in the middle of the field.
The Spurs will open their International Cup against Juventus and they will want a better performance than what they musted last season. However, it will be a challenge as they are without their big star players who were left in England after the Euro 2016. Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Eric Dyer, Kyle Waler and Danny Rose have all not made the journey but this gives an opportunity for their younger players to make a name for themselves. It also gives an opportunity for new signings Victor Wanyama and Vincent Janssen to make their mark.
The two-sides are lacking a lot of their star players but it will still be an interesting contest with Juventus searching for a victory whilst the Spurs player’s will want to play at a high level to push for a starting position with the Premier League just three weeks away from starting. We are predicting a tight contest with the Italians coming out on top.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Atletico Madrid (Friday 8pm AEST)
The Spurs had a dreadful start to their match against Juventus. Their defence leaked an early goal and they were under the pump for the majority of the first 45-minutes. However, this was expected as they fielded a young side that was lacking a lot of experience.
The big change in the second half was Erik Lamela coming onto the ground. He brought immediate spark in the Spurs attack and he was able to grab a goal back for his side. The damage was already done though and they weren’t able to level the scores against a tough Juventus team. Harry Winks and Shayon Harrison were the two most solid performers of their younger players for Tottenham and we are expecting them to back up again on Friday night.
Atletico Madrid will take on Tottenham in their first match in the Australian International Champions Cup. Fans will be disappointed that they won’t have Antoine Greizmann in their line up as he hasn’t made the trip down under. Griezmann took his game to another level and led France to the Euro 2016 Final. However, Madrid do have a lot of other stars in their line up but like the other powerhouse sides, they have brought a lot of young players who are likely to get a lot of game time to prove their ability.
Tottenham will be backing up after only three days rest and as Atletico Madrid are a fresher side we will be predicting them to get the job done. They are one of the better defensive teams in Europe and we are predicting that they hold Tottenham scoreless.
