Buffalo Bills at New York Jets – Friday, November 13 at 12:25pm AEST
Thursday night football is set up for a tough battle between AFC East Rivals. This “grudge” match in particular is extra special. It’s the first game that controversial head coach Rex Ryan will face his old team. While the Patriots have control of the East the 5-3 (Jets) and the 4-4 (Bills) are still playing for wild card implications not to mention a whole lot of pride.
This line is an interesting one. Currently the Jets are favoured by -2.5 points. So Vegas are telling us that on a natural field the Bills would be favourites because generally speaking home field advantage see’s Vegas tack on a field goal. My point is, don’t let the Jets winning record cloud your judgement.
The total for this game is set at 42.5 therefore a 20-23 or 21-24 type of game is very possible and likely. Which brings me to my tip - I am recommending buying a point on the Bills side. It will cost you approximately 25-30 cents on the dollar and bring your line to +3.5 (Bills). If you shop around at our best sports betting sites you might even find a better deal.
Tip: Buffalo Bills at a +3.5 line - $1.62 at CrownBet
New England Patriots at New York Giants - Monday, November 16 at 8:25am AEST
The New England Patriots are one of the three undefeated teams left in the NFL but history tells us that Tom Brady’s kryptonite has been Eli Manning and the New York Giants. In saying that I don’t believe the Giants can pull off the upset but I do believe they will give the Patriots problems especially at MetLife Stadium.
We are getting to the business end of the season where taking teams with points is profitable. The weather is getting much colder. Coaches have looked at more tape and defenses start playing the lead in November and December.
Giants head coach Tom Caughlin will not get into a shoot-out with the Patriots. Earlier in the week he said he knows the importance of field position against this Patriots team. I believe this game will go under the total of 55.0 points although it’s only a lean.
Tip: New York Giants at the line (+7.5) - $1.85 at CrownBet
Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks – Monday, November 16 at 12:30pm AEST
It’s the battle of the birds in this NFC West rivalry game. Both the Cardinals and Seahawks will come into this game well rested as they shared the bye week.
In the past this matchup has been dominated by the Seahawks but one important detail was missing from the Cardinals line up, Mr Carson Palmer. Who just happens to be one of the MVP candidates this season. The 35 year old, 6 foot 5 quarterback is playing like he has a point to prove and in his 13th season he is doing so. Palmer has thrown for 2386 yards with 20 touchdowns giving him a 110.2 QBR. This week they have been practicing with wet balls due to weather predictions and it has been reported that even in the wet Carson Palmer has full control over the football due to the size of his gigantic hands.
Arizona has been on point on defense as well allowing just 90.25 yards in rushing. A player who sets the tone for this is Tyrann Mathieu “the honey badger” he isn’t the biggest guy in the world but he is the most aggressive. If you haven’t watched him play I would suggest tuning in.
Tip: Arizona Cardinals at the line (+3.0) - $2.02 at Sportsbet
Houston Texans at Cincinnati Bengals – Tuesday, November 17 at 12:30pm AEST
Monday Night Football heads to Ohio as the Houston Texans have the difficult task of facing another undefeated team the Cincinnati Bengals.
Andy Dalton is another quarterback playing with a chip on his shoulder. He has matured as a QB and his numbers are also in the MVP category. It’s not just the passing game that the Texans will have trouble with the Bengals rushing offense led by Giovani Bernard and Jeremy Hill have been outstanding this year which is allowing Dalton to really stretch defenses.
Two teams clearly heading in different directions. Cincinnati in front of their home crowd will take care of business. I believe this game will be in the vicinity of a 31-17 win for the Bengals.
Tip: Cincinnati Bengals at the line (-10.5) - $1.97 at CrownBet
