Esports Betting Tips: Tuesday October 18th
9INE vs ECSTATIC - CCT North Europe Series #1
9INE and ECSTATIC went 1-2 across their opening three series of the tournament and are now getting ready for what will be the final match for one of the two sides. 9INE kicked off the event with losses against Tricked (0-2) and IKLA (1-2) before bouncing back with a 2-1 victory against TITANS.
ECSTATIC, on the other side, lost their opening two series against 00 Prospects (0-2) and Sangal (0-2), yet they took down Ungentium (2-1). Based on those results, I can't praise either squad, knowing that their only wins came against two 0-3 teams that are already eliminated. Even before that poor run, 9INE and ECSTATIC have shown little to nothing.
9INE are 3-7 across their last ten matches, with ECSTATIC sharing the same record over the stretch. I should mention that ECSTATIC had to play against much stronger teams in SAW, G2 Esports, and forZe during IEM RMR, but they lost all three bouts convincingly, so it's not like it makes much of a difference.
I have no favourite for this match since I haven't seen anything from either 9INE or ECSTATIC that would suggest they're stronger than the other. However, 9INE have a better individual form than ECSTATIC, so we'll side with the Poles at even money.

Tricked vs Copenhagen Flames - CCT North Europe Series #1
Tricked won their opening CCT North Europe Series #1 match against 9INE (2-0), then lost against SC e-Sports (1-2), and claimed their second victory of the tournament last round when they edged past ex-SKADE. Copenhagen Flames have produced the same results, with a win against BLUEJAYS (2-0), a loss against Nemiga (0-2), and a victory against Sangal (2-0).
Copenhagen Flames and Tricked have never met with their current rosters before, but I don't see a problem with esports bookmakers pricing Copenhagen Flames as 1.53 favourites. They're stronger individually than Tricked, and they have Iulian "regali" Harjău, who has been playing extremely well lately, averaging a 1.30 rating.
On the side of Tricked, their best-rated player is Philip "Lucky" Ewald, with a 1.13 performance rating, creating an interesting situation where both teams' top players are AWPers. But in this contest, I would much rather side with regali as he's better than Lucky, despite his lack of experience.
Tricked can cause an upset, but I wouldn't count on that happening. Copenhagen Flames might not be as strong as they were earlier this season, but they should be able to take care of Tricked with some to spare.

SWS vs 9z Academy - Gamers Club Liga Série A: October 2022
SWS and 9z Academy will meet in the upper bracket quarterfinals of Gamers Club Liga Série A: October 2022 in what should be a pretty straightforward match for SWS. Priced as 1.53 favourites, SWS are expected to dominate, and I don't have a good reason to doubt them.
This is still a match between two weak teams, where anything can happen, but SWS have looked better this tournament, finishing the group stage with Los Grandes Academy Daotsu Esports and AJF Esports in second place with a 3-1 record. 9z Academy have managed the same 3-1 record, but their only wins came against Union (2-1), Liberty (2-0), and Meta (2-1).
That said, SWS are in very shaky form. Prior to their group stage run, they've gone 2-5 with defeats against Hype (0-2), Rehl (0-2), Liberty (13-16), and FUSION (13-16). Meanwhile, their only two wins came against Boca (2-1) and Union (2-1).
So even though SWS should be stronger, they're not consistent enough for me to bet on them at the offered odds. As noted, this is a low-division match, where anything can happen. But it's not like 97 Academy winning would be a massive shock.
