Greyhound Racing Tips - Thursday September 29th
Sandown Park: Race 10
(1) Lovaz Bale was excellent at the same track & distance and having box one here is a bonus. He hasn't won in five attempts but does usually go well from inside draws despite at times being hit or miss at the start. Alfie Alligator in box three is the likely leader but if Lovaz Bale can trail him, he is faster late. He ran a first split here of 5.06 last week so if the dog in box three is off his game, Lovaz Bale could even lead and then I think it will be all over. He won three in a row at The Meadows in June and now connections are looking for her to string some together in Thursday night grade.
(1) Lovaz Bale WIN
$2.50 (3 Units)
Dapto: Race 2
(2) She’s Airborne has a best time at Dapto of 30.17 which is good enough to win this race. She has never drawn closer to the rail than four in her career and i think she might go even better from inside draws so box two is a plus. Her last two starts have been at Wentworth Park running, 30.29 and 30.41 and on those runs she should be in this for a long way. She doesn't usually lead but after 50 metres she has a real motor and gets going so if she can rail up underneath them on the first bend without getting touched it will be her race to lose. The only real worry is that at Wentworth Park her last couple (despite running respectable times) she has missed the start. She is slightly down in grade and is a big chance.
(2) She’s Airborne
$1.60 (4 Units)
Albion Park: Race 1
(1) City Way, we went with him last week (third) and we will give him one more chance here to shine considering he has a favourable draw in one. He got the money after starting the race nicely here three weeks ago (30.32) and backed that up with an even third here last week, running eight lengths slower than he did when he won. I think he can bounce back and break 30.50 which will be close to a win in this one, but if he doesn’t, we might have to send him to the sack file. He has proven to be costly for punters after starting at even money in half of his career starts. Hopefully he can start to reward punters now and has no better chance from this draw. He is only 22 months of age, but he should me starting to mature now.
(1) City Way WIN
$2.60 (3 Units)
Angle Park: Race 3
(3) Stout Monelli is another i picked last week (Place) but this time I’m picking it for the win. He was third here last week for David Geall and now he is more familiar with the track he should improve even more. He will be shorter odds in this race considering Wow She’s Fast isn't in it and he can win from the draw. He ran 30.15 last time and I think he can break 30.00 in this one. He loves to win having from 35 from 65 starts and with having his third start in a row here after coming over for Victoria, this race looks ideal. He should settle handy and is the strongest to the line in this race.
(3) Stout Monelli
$2.50 (4 Units)
Hobart: Race 5
(7) Jack Twist is in fine form for Eileen Thomas and should go very close again for punters. Jack won well last week after running a good second from this box the week prior. He is very reliable early and i think he can break 26.50 in this race tonight which should see him take it out. He has finished in the top two his last five starts and if he can pinch a few lengths early on Manilla Flash (4) which is his main danger then he should jog home to victory. Manilla Flash is quality, so we don't want to be taking anything under the even money quote in this one. Jack has a bit of experience over this track & distance which will help whereas the blue dog is racing over it for the first time.
(7) Jack Twist WIN
$2.40 (3 Units)
Mandurah: Race 2
(1) Nitro Jet for Ricki Valenti is one from one from the red and can win again. He got up by a nose here last week in 17.58 but from the inside draw I think he can go faster like he did on September 8 when he won in 17.32. He always starts relatively short, so we won't be getting huge odds with this one.
(1) NItro Jet
$1.65 (4 Units)
