Friday night action begins in Sydney with the Bulldogs hosting the Warriors. Both teams currently sit outside the Top 8 and would benefit from a win here for multiple reasons. Each side has experienced positives so far this year but have battled for consistency. They will sense an opportunity to regain some winning momentum, meaning that this game should be an exciting one to say the least.

NRL Round 11 Preview & Betting Tips
Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs vs New Zealand Warriors
Friday 12th May, Accor Stadium, 6pm (AEST)
The Bulldogs were involved in a scoring shootout with the Raiders in Round 10, but allowed too many early points in the second half to be able to peg back their opponents lead. Trailing 22-18 at HT, they were in with a chance but quickly found themselves further behind. Having a 72% completion rate with just 46% possession hurt their chances, while their total metres gained was low, impacting their momentum through the middle and line breaks (just 1).
As highlighted in the NRL Power Rankings, the Warriors have experienced challenges scoring points. Scoring just one try in their 18-6 loss to the Panthers last week, the Warriors overall are impacted by injuries. Their defensive resolve has been pleasing but it is counting for little on the competition ladder. Playing 20 minutes in the second half with a player in the sin bin hardly helped their cause. Otherwise, the only other area they were let down in was their missed tackles (59) as they matched the Panthers statistically. They are close to turning it around but a few more (similar) losses with really dent their confidence.
This is a very tricky contest to call. The Bulldogs are outsiders ($2 vs $1.80), with the news of Addo-Carr returning doing little to improve their chances. The Warriors also have players returning, with the most notable inclusion being Volkman at 5/8, which pushes Walker back to the bench to play a middle utility role. The fact that the Warriors are higher than the Bulldogs on the NRL Power Rankings indicates how each side is expected to perform; however, you cannot count out this Bulldogs side. They can win this game if they come with their best game. The Warriors will make it difficult, but they too need to take their chances. In a head-to-head contest, they are the preferred selection but not for an investment. Steer clear of any one which involves selecting a result, other than suggesting the game will be a close contest. The point scoring issues for both teams have been well highlighted so far this season. That should ensure the total points is also lower than expected. Their Round 4 fixture saw a 16-14 win to the Warriors and this game is expected to follow a similar pattern.
