AFL Fremantle vs Carlton Betting Tips
MCG, Saturday 3rd July 7.40pm (AEST)
With the Demons and Giants playing earlier in the day, this week will mark the first MCG double-header since all the way back in 1986! It will be interesting to see how the surface holds up and if either team can kickstart a run at the top eight from Saturday night.
Match Prediction
The Blues were solid last week against the Crows, picking up a 10-point win on the back of strong games from midfielder Sam Walsh and the Carlton forward trio of Eddie Betts, Jack Martin and Harry McKay, who booted seven goals between them
The Dockers are in a similar, but more enviable position, having already accumulated seven wins this season and now find themselves behind the Tigers on percentage alone with a game in hand. A win on Saturday night would see them in the top eight at the end of Round 16, so this is massive for their finals aspirations.
The Blues are battling one of the longest injury lists in the league at the moment. They will welcome back Zac Fisher from injury and Levi Casboult from a suspension, but they will be without Charlie Curnow, Michael Gibbons, Caleb Marchbank, Mitch McGovern, Marc Murphy, Marc Pittonet, Will Setterfield and Zac Williams just to name a few.
One of the strangest things about this AFL season to date is the confidence the bookmakers have had in the Blues. They were favourites against Port Adelaide and West Coast earlier in the season only to be beaten comfortably in both games and they line up as favourites once again against another team that is better than them on paper.
Regardless of the fact that this game had to be moved from Perth to Melbourne, I love the value of the Dockers here. The Blues are without so many players through injury at the moment and even at their best, I think this is a pretty even affair. With a top eight spot on the line, back the Dockers to get the job done here.

David Mundy had just 20 touches in Round 13 but bounced back with a really strong 28 disposal performance on the weekend. He has passed 25 touches in 10/14 games this season and is fantastic value to do so again this weekend.
Caleb Serong has passed 15 touches in every game he has played this season while Patrick Cripps has passed 20 touches in all but one game so far this season.
