NBA Betting Tips: Sunday, 9th of May
Washington Wizards at Indiana Pacers
Bankers Life Fieldhouse, 9am AEST
Washington Wizards have been on a huge tear over the past couple of weeks and have now won 14 of their past 17 games. They come into this off a clutch win over the Raptors that they won in overtime, which Russell Westbrook had yet another triple-double in.
Indiana Pacers also won a crucial game against the Hawks last time out, which put an end to a mini two-game losing streak. The Pacers have been on a tough run of late with losses in four of their past six games, which is the opposite of what they need considering their current position.
These teams played each other in an absolute shoutout last time out with the Wizards winning via a 154-141 score line. While we don’t see the scores getting that large this time out, we still side with the Wizards winning who have been in far better form.
Some matchups work well and none speak truer than Rui Hachimura vs the Pacers. He’s had 26 and 27 points against them from two starts this season and has been in some decent form with 10+ points in each of his last five games leading in. He looks a good things for all your multis here.
Prop: Hachimura 15+ Points ($2)
Washington Wizards -3.5

San Antonio Spurs at Portland Trail Blazers
Moda Center, 12pm AEST
San Antonio Spurs were winners in their most recent game against the Kings, which put an end to a very disappointing five-game losing streak. The recent run of the Spurs will make it tough for them to finish in the top eight, which is all so important in the current season.
Portland Trail Blazers have been clutch of late with wins in their last two and six of their last seven. Last time out against the Lakers was the most important of them all, as their five-point win put them ahead of the Lakers on the current standings.
The Spurs have been in really poor form leading into this and that certainly can’t be said about the Blazers. The home side are firing on all cylinders at the moment and with the way they’re travelling, we fully expect the home side to deliver a comfortable win here.
The Trail Blazers have lifted of late and that is nearly solely because of the man that is Damian Lillard. Dame has put up 30+ points in four of his past five games and with the way he’s currently playing, we’re expecting him to keep it going with another big night.
Prop: Lillard 30+ Points ($2)
Portland Trail Blazers -4.5

Brooklyn Nets at Denver Nuggets
Pepsi Center, 12pm AEST
Brooklyn Nets are going through a rare bad run at the moment with losses in each of their past four games. Their ability to defend has become a concern once again, which was seemingly always going to be the case with such a superstar-stacked team.
Denver Nuggets have been brave with how well they’ve been able to perform since their superstar in Jamal Murray went down with injury. They were brave last time out against the best team in the league in Utah, which was just their second loss from their past eight games.
Neither team have been setting the world on fire with how they’ve been playing of late, but at home where they’re always difficult to beat and also considering the form of the Nets, we have to give the Nuggets the edge at home here.
