We haven’t been able to catch a break in our Draftstars team of the week this year. We’ve had some money back weeks, some double ups, some absolute stinkers but failed to get the really high finish we’ve been looking for. We’ve got one more chance as Round 23 of the AFL approaches so we’ll be putting all our eggs in this basket here and looking for a solid performance in the huge $50k guaranteed AFL tournament this Sunday at Draftstars.
Don't forget, along with DraftStars, there's also plenty of money to be won at other Daily Fantasy and Fantasy Betting sites like Moneyball, TopBetta and SportChamps! And you can track your progress and see how you fair against the best players at those DFS sites at the brand new Daily Fantasy Rankings website.

AFL Daily Fantasy Team of the Week – Round 23
Forwards
Kane Lambert
The Tiger has been one of the most consistent scorers in the forward line over the past moneth and has a good matchup against the Saints here. Has scored 100, 93 and 108 in the last three weeks. The new role in the Tigers side means he is much better than his 85 point average suggests.
Jack Billings
Is one of those rare small forwards that also has the ability to rack up big possession numbers and also takes a lot of marks. If he could kick straight he’s be one of the premier scorers in the competition, but his average of 118 over the past 3 weeks is nothing to frown over. Has added a strong tackling element to his game lately, improving his scores even more.
Midfielders
Blake Acres/Jack Newnes
Unsure if there have been two players more similar in AFL history. Take your pick here, both $12,400 and both play the exact same role for St Kilda. They are the best two kicks in the Saints team so get a lot of handball receives and kicks. I like Acres this week but generally only one of them scores well each week, see if you can choose right.
David Myers, Darcy Parish & Andrew McGrath
A trio of Essendon players to round out the midfield as we are hunting a big Bombers win over Fremantle on Sunday. Freo have lost their last two matches by over 100 points and seem to have thrown in the 2017 white towel. Essendon won’t be taking any chances here as they need a win to play finals so we think this could be an absolute blowout.
Six players for Sydney cracked the ton against Freo two weeks ago while eight passed that mark for the Tigers against the Dockers last weekend. If all three of these guys can crack 80 it will be a good day.
Defenders
Jimmy Webster
Just 46 and 57 over the last two weeks but should have an easier time of it this weekend with the smaller Richmond forward line. Has had to play quite big in the last two games but should get more a loose rile with Brandon White coming back into the side. Value pick at $8,500.
Mark Baguley
Another couple of Essendon players to round out the squad here. Baguley impressed last weekend with 92 points as he racked up 25 touches and 11 marks across half back. Essendon should control most of the possession in the game against the Dockers so uncontested marks across half back will come easy once again.
Ruck
Tom Bellchambers
Dominated an undermanned Gold Coast ruck unit last weekend to the tune of 116 points and gets a similar task this weekend with Freo first choice ruckman Sean Darcy coming out of the side. Rucking duties will fall to undersized Jonathon Griffin so Bellchambers should have a field day here.
