The 2016 Four Nations continues this weekend and after another profitables week we return with our Week 3 Preview and Betting Tips.
Scotland vs New Zealand (Saturday, November 12th at 7am AEST)
New Zealand weren’t able to overcome a slow start against Australia to earn the upset but they showed why they are the side to beat outside of the Kangaroos in this competition. They defeated England by the narrowest of margins the week before and it took a last second desperation in defence by the Australians to hold on for victory. Shaun Johnson has been playing at a high level and has been orchestrating a lot in attack but he needs other players around him to step up if they are going to cause an upset in the final. However, they won’t be troubled this weekend and they should earn a comfortable victory.
Scotland was able to get off to a dream start against England and they raced to a lead. However, their inexperience and lack of talent showed as the Poms were able to fight their way back into the contest and ultimately win by a large margin. It is great to see another nation other than the big 3 in a competition like this but they won’t be able to remain competitive.

England vs Australia (Monday, November 14th at 1am AEST)
The decision to rest Cooper Cronk almost backfired for Mal Meninga as the Kangaroos weren’t able to put away New Zealand with as much ease as they had in the previous two matches this season. It is saying something about the side’s go-forward and their attack when winger Blake Fergurson receives man of the match honours. The side will need the structure that Cronk brings to the side and they will be back to their attacking best.
Meanwhile England can’t afford another slow start to a contest and we expect them to rectify the problems they had against Scotland in that department. They definitely won’t be underestimating their opponents and it could be the Australian Wayne Bennett who is coaching the side being the x-factor that is needed. Bennett will be facing off against his favourite son Darius Boyd for the first time in his coaching career and Boyd will be looking to keep intact his perfect record when wearing the green and gold jersey that is currently at 20 wins for no losses. We believe that record will extend and by a hefty margin.
