The 2018-19 Big Bash League season is fast approaching and one of the leaders in Australian daily fantasy sports, Draftstars, have recently announced a game changing event revolving around BBL08! This season, Draftstars will host Australia’s first ever daily fantasy sports ‘Live Final’ for the BBL08 final in late February.
What is a live final you ask? Well it’s daily fantasy, with more of a social aspect to it. Daily fantasy hopefuls will compete in qualifiers throughout the regular BBL08 season, and successful players will earn an all-expenses paid trip to Crown Casino in Melbourne for the live final where they can cheer on their team for the biggest prize pool ever seen in Australian DFS.
Aptly named the ‘Biggest Bash’, the Draftstars event will be a monster $150,000 tournament held for the BBL08 final on the 17th of February. The event will be held at Crown Casino in Melbourne and the winner will take home a whipping $50,000. Successful entrants will receive flights, accommodation, entry into the tournament and $250 in cash!
Not only will the winner of the event receive $50,000, but all entrants in the final tournament will walk away with at least $500 in cash.

- 4th-40th - $1,000
- 40th > - $500
Draftstars will be running 56 tournaments for the 56 games in the 2018-19 Big Bash League home and away season. Each contest will cost just $2 to enter and the winner of each will book a place at Crown Casino on the 17th of February. In the event of a dead heat for first place, the two or more winners will be automatically placed into a separate contest to decide the eventual winner.
However, if you’re not interested in grinding away $2 tournaments for the whole BBL08 season, there is another way into the live final at Crown Casino. There are 15 tickets available for contestants who wish to buy straight into the final tournament. These tickets will be going for $5,000 apiece. Some of the tickets have already been sold so if you think this is the route for you, get in quick!
